The Friends of Peninsula State Park is excited to host a “Ride The Park” celebration from May 27th to 30th! We’re starting by honoring the memory of Chris Holicek, our beloved Friends Past President, with a memorial plaque at Eagle Tower. Over the last 20 years Chris was responsible for many of our major park improvements, including Eagle Tower, the new Nicolet Beach playground, the new mountain bike trails and many more. The main theme of our event is celebrating biking, our new mountain bike trails and getting ready to make the Highland Trailhead a major gathering place for visitors. Come along for group trail rides, a bike safety session, bike and gear displays, special park merchandise sales, and a trail boardwalk build. We’ll have food and beer trucks to keep you energized, along with lots of other fun events to get your summer riding season off to a great start.
