Nature Center

Hands-on Educational Experiences and Programs

The  White Cedar Nature Center has been recently upgraded and remodeled.  In addition to new interior space it now also includes an outdoor amphitheater, improved walkways and parking to provide accessibility for people of all ages and physical abilities. These improvements enable the expansion of our outdoor educational, recreational, and historical programs and events.

Examples of programs include hands-on experiences for children and families such as a replication of fur trading, the history of Camp Meenagha, bird and animal presentations, listening and sharing stories around a campfire, viewing the stars, and many more. The amphitheater will provide ample comfortable space for our presentations and campfire experiences.

Current parking does not meet the needs of individual or group visitors. We would like to remedy that with an expansion and reconfiguration of the current lot. Additional funds are still needed to make this a reality. Can you help?
