Candlelight Ski/Hike/Snowshoe 2020
February 1, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm CST
Peninsula State Park will host a candlelight ski/hike/snowshoe event on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 5:30 pm – 8 pm. Skiers and hikers are invited to head out on a one-mile candlelit trail. Snowshoes are also permitted. At the end of the trail, enjoy a bonfire with refreshments. Participants may wish to bring a small flashlight or headlamp. Pets are not allowed.
Skiers, hikers, and snowshoers should enter at Highland Road (one mile north of Fish Creek at the Highway 42 and County A intersection). The event is free, but a state park vehicle admission sticker is required. Purchase your sticker at Park Headquarters (open until 7:30 pm), the new electronic kiosk at Eagle Terrace, or the self-registration station on the day of the event. A trail pass is not required for this event.
The event will take place even if there is not snow, but it will be cancelled if there is severe weather. Access may be restricted if parking capacity is reached. To check the status on the day of the event, call the park office at 920-868-3258.
