Bat Monitoring Workshop at Peninsula this Friday
May 16, 2014 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm CDT
Curious about Door County bats? Interested in surveying bats with a GPS device for ongoing state research? Then join the Peninsula State Park Naturalist on Friday, May 16, from 8 – 8:45 PM at the park’s nature center for a free ANABAT workshop. A brief talk about Door County bat species will be followed by instruction using a GPS tracking device. Weather permitting, participants will take a stroll in Peninsula at 8:45 PM using the ANABAT device, which records species data for DNR biologists. The workshop is free but a state park vehicle sticker is required. If you need additional information call Naturalist Kathleen Harris at 920-854-5976 or email her atkathleen.harris@wisconsin.gov.
