The Park Staff, Friends of Peninsula State Park, and most importantly Park visitors owe a great deal of gratitude to those of you who donate time and financially support our Friends mission.  Your commitment has directly resulted in major Park improvements in recent years including:

Unlike parks in other States, Wisconsin does not provide direct funding for its State parks. This could negatively impact both the Park’s environment and the visitor’s experience. Wisconsin State parks are self-funded through user fees, limited government grants and private donations.  We therefore rely heavily on our Donors and Volunteers.  Donors to Friends of Peninsula Sate Park provide funds for new amenities, facilities, equipment, expanded educational programs and much more.  Thanks to the generosity of our private donors and dedicated Park volunteers, “Friends” groups can usually “fast track” many of these needed Park improvements.
